Vision
The Siren was founded with a vision to market the art and music scene in and around the New Bedford, MA region. As the project has grown, the project is beginning to highlight outstanding artists and musicians from around the United States and Montreal, Canada. Promoting music and visual arts both locally and beyond helps make an collective impact on the creative economy.
Origin Story
This journey began in 2014, when founder Kat Knutsen set out to amplify the community-driven work of local visual artists and performing musicians. Relaunched in 2024, The Siren now builds on that foundation—shining its spotlight on professionally established artists whose refined practice and community impact set new standards for creative excellence.
